SURVIVAL PART-2

                Nowadays internet access is present even at nooks and crannies of the world. Browse through the internet to gain more knowledge about survival techniques, in case of flood, cyclones, earth quakes, Tsunami waves and so on. Every person should gain proper knowledge about the geography of the place in which he is living. If the region is prone to natural disasters, often, then the person should try to move their habitat to somewhere else. I came across certain techniques in READER’s DIGEST magazine to which I show my gratitude for which I have obtained good knowledge of survival techniques. The experts advise to insure your properties because financial preparedness supports your mental stamina during times of crisis. They also exhort to identify the most vulnerable parts of the city in order to avoid staying at these spots for safety.
                Get in touch with the Government’s announcements then and there. Keep yourself updated with the Government’s policies and the knowledge about the shelters offered by the government during the times of disasters. Always construct your houses with multiple exits. I have seen certain house built in such a way that the entire ground floor is to be used as a parking lot. Then the inmates of these houses would live in the first floor. At times of flood this model of houses could be useful. A huge bag of rice is more than enough to counteract during these stranded times. Also remember to keep portable gas stoves. The food items should be kept somewhere higher in case if it is a ground floor or can even be kept at the first floor. Be generous enough to help others if you can. While constructing your house it is important to have a properly planned large drainage system.
                In case of being stranded alone, don’t panic. But if you have panic, take 10deep breathes. In case of a forest, immediately try to go to places where you can find food and water. Because protecting your health is the foremost step in survival. The experts say that fresh water fishes and most of the birds’ eggs are edible. Don’t eat anything that is unfamiliar and unknown to you, as it could be poisonous. Wild animals can be triggered if you run. So avoid running but stand still on your stand. Water is more important than food. Always keep handy sachets of oral rehydration powders and drink it often with proper dilution in water. Find animals, birds and insects to track spots of water. Have shiny objects to reflect sun rays to signal a rescuer. Most important of all, have a large converging lens with you in order to set fire using sun rays.
                To conclude, get yourself familiarized with TV shows portraying survival strategies. Note all the points in a handbook and learn it thoroughly. Through internet, gain knowledge of how to offer first-aid to a patient and also how to nurse a wound and broken bones and the like.

SURVIVAL PART – 1

We have come across the term ‘survival of the fittest’. Those who could compete and establish their identity are the beings fit for surviving in this world. ‘The desire to live’ helps to keep up the candle of life without getting flamed out. Navigating through life’s scariest and helpless periods, really does sounds daring. First of all, the foremost thing to remember when you are stuck in a problem, try to get rid of panic and be alert and calm your mind. The flood that struck Chennai recently has made all of us alert up to some extent, I suppose. The destruction caused by the flood was very horrible and people had almost lost their identity, money, shelter, clothing and most of all- ‘livelihood’. The death toll was rising in figures on TV screens and everyone was helpless.

During such natural disasters it is advisable to keep a fully equipped kit for our survival. It is an emergency kit and should be kept handy. It should contain a zipped pocket file containing all of your important documents of identity, bank pass books, passports, credit and debit cards. Make sure that all of your family members know every phone numbers of your relatives and important emergency numbers like that of the numbers of ambulance service, fire rescue and so on. Have few packets of dry food items of your choice. It is better to have biscuits, tapioca chips, potato chips, glucose powder, roasted peanuts, cashew nuts, pistachios and the like. The reason to have nut items is that they are rich in proteins which are used to boost your energy. Then the kit should have some cash amount especially in denominations of 50s, 100sand 500s. Then an all-in-one Swiss knife is an essential constituent. A high beam torch with extra batteries will guide you and others at times of darkness. Apart from smartphones it is vital to have old dialer mobile phones with extended battery life. Always have sufficient money in your sim account and keep your phone charged up to 95%. Also try to maintain this battery percentage then and there. A radio will keep you informed about the situation even if your phone’s signal fails. The kit should even contain thick ropes, water bottles, candles & matches, duct tape and scissors. A fully equipped first aid kit with all essential medicines should also be part of the survival kit. All of these commodities should be contained in a water proof bag. 

NATURE AND MIND THERAPY

                Do you have any health issue? Want to take treatment? Would you like to take your own treatment? Then read this before proceeding further. Nature has immense products for treating our disorders and ailments. No one could deny “all the medicines available are not from nature”. Because any chemical obtained is nothing but processed or unprocessed form of nature’s components. So, keep in mind that Nature has a cure for everything. ‘Now, coming to the next element of our therapy, “our mind is the place which can make hell out of heaven and vice versa”. As Milton said. Controlling one’s mind helps to control the whole body. By regulating the themes of our minds we can regulate our health.
                According to nature’s laws, any health problem is caused due to accumulation of waste products in the body. In all our 72000 blood vessels and nerves, sages say, we have accumulated dirt. Due to these dirt depositions, the supply of ‘oxygen’ or ‘pranic energy’ is blocked. By proper yoga and breathing exercises, this ‘pranic energy’ is constantly supplied throughout the entire body. when oxygen consumption is high, we feel fresh and energetic and also most of the common diseases of daily day life would not occur. In case of disastrous and life threatening diseases, apply your mind power along with the doctor’s treatment to get cured. DON’T GIVE HOPES EVEN IN WORST STAGES OF HEALTH PROBLEMS. Often visualize yourself completely free from all kinds of health bias. By simply bursting the bubbles of a bubble wrap, imagine your cancer cells or lumps getting destroyed. Even if it’s not working, Believe blindly that you’re getting cured. Don’t give way to even 0.01% of negative thoughts. Your mind is the best doctor. It is therefore important to possess a bias-free mind that cannot be influenced by either place or time.
                Many herbs available in our domestic garden do serve for many good purposes. ‘Cissus Quadrangularis’ or the ‘bone-setter’ is good for fractured bones, when tied in a proper way with the broken limb or arm. ‘Curry Leaves’ can be recommended for diabetic patients, which can reduce blood glucose level. ‘Neem Leaves’ prove to be a best antiseptic. 2 to 3 raw neem leaves can be eaten daily in empty stomach. Basil leaves, pepper, gooseberries, lemon, turmeric, cloves – all contain great medicinal values. For indigestion and dehydration problems, hot water boiled with cumin seeds powder can be of some help. ‘Papaya Leaves’ has been recently proved to be effective in increasing cell count in case of Dengue, Swine flu and other such harmful viral fevers. Ginger tea and Green tea helps to get rid off impurities from our body.  Drinking sufficient quantity of water increases oxygen supply to the brain and can help prevent frequent headaches and fatigue. Beetroot juice is better for anaemia and other blood-related problems.
                All the above suggestive methods of treatment can’t be applied for emergency situations. It is an utter mistake to seek immediate results. For emergency situations, a qualified doctor’s treatment is what needed. But I’m sure to tell that ‘nature and mind therapy’ is a slow stepwise process that is to be followed constantly in order to achieve striking results. I’m not exhorting to avoid medicines, because a doctor’s advice is as important as your soul. So, get in touch with nature’s products and also unleash your mind power with always ‘hold upon your conscience and consciousness’

DANGERS OF DIABETES

                Diabetes is a familiar threat to our health. Obviously we may be aware of this, but I would like to bring to the notice of some of the consequences of Diabetes, in detail. First of all, this is not the only disorder to be treated, when you are struck with it. Along with that, you may get many ailments like stroke, heart attack, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic foot and lots more. When diabetic people have cholesterol and high blood pressure, they are 75% likely to get heart diseases and stroke. So, the doctors do administer other medicines prescribed for diabetes. So it is important to get in touch with the doctor’s advice, often. Traditional foods in India mostly don’t contain much cholesterol. But due to the corporate life, people acquaint themselves with the delicacies of fast food, which are rich in fat and cholesterol. Due to excess deposits of cholesterol in blood vessels, its circumference gets decreased thereby   leading to increase in blood pressure. This likely lead to stroke which is the result of trapped blood clot in the brain. Diabetic people are more prone to these chances of stroke and heart ailments than a non- diabetic person. So, it is important to frequently check your BP and lipid profile in order to maintain good health.  (This I read in a magazine.) Analyze what type of Diabetes you have and please do listen to what type of Diabetes you have and please do listen to what your Doctor say. Because type-2 diabetes have much more serious implications than type-1.

                Always take good care of your feet. This, I’m exhorting both to diabetic as well as normal people. It is not advisable to take treatment from more than one doctor, as this may mess up with the course of the treatment that you are undergoing. Never forget to take insulin injections and prescribed tablets. Make this as your regular routine as you are responsible for your health. ‘Curry leaves’ has the property to reduce blood glucose level. Some people say that, it is best to eat 4 – 5 raw curry leaves in empty stomach. But if you come across tips like these, please make sure whether they are true, before taking them. I read in a health magazine that, a doctor says, each diabetic patient contains a unique combination of drugs prescribed for them. This prescription may vary from another patient with the same type of diabetes. These combinations tend to differ according to the body conditions and the past history of the patients. Reducing sugar content in the body not only mean “avoiding sweets”, but also maintaining the proper intake of carbohydrate food items. Rather you can eat food items made from wheat and oats. Also physical training, walking, cycling can help reduce to manage your blood glucose levels. “Prevention is better than cure. MORNING’s ESSENCE

                Have you ever felt the freshness of early morning? Well it is definitely needed for our body. The freshness and essence of morning really supplements your health. If you come out and fell it once, then you would long for it regularly. For this, you need not be an early riser. Rising early doesn’t entirely mean getting up at 4 or 5 in the morning. Those who could get up at this time, it is well and good. But morning’s essence can also be felt from 7 am to 7.30 am. Therefore don’t strain yourself to get up early. But I suppose that anyone could get up at 6.30 am. This is more than enough. Nowadays people make use the gadgets to entertain themselves while jogging on the platform, at early in the morning. But there is no use in it. While exercising or jogging, your entire body and mind should stay focused on it, unlike people jogging with their earphones plugged in with music. Only then you can enjoy its full effect. Also jogging in treadmill in an enclosed air-conditioned room would not yield full effects. So, it is a must to exercise in a properly ventilated room with sun rays coming in.

                Researches have proven that those people who use a luxurious gym might appear strong, but their bones are weaker. This is due to the absence of proper exposure to sunrays. Due to this reason only, the ancient people of India had introduced the term ‘suriya namaskar’ i.e., doing specific exercises in the way of adoring the early sun. But one should make sure whether these exercises are in harmony with the exercises prescribed by the ancient people. It may be any exercise, but the foremost of all is the influence of morning’s essence in our daily life. It keeps you awake the entire day. It soothes your ailments. The breezy touch of the morning is recommended for asthma patients. They need not do any exercise but could walk gently in order to get themselves exposed to morning’s essence, breezy touch and the early sun’s rays.

Addiction! Good or Bad!?!

Addiction!! Good or Bad?
You would have noticed certain warnings in the movies like ‘Liquor drinking and smoking is injurious to health’. Even though people are acquainted with these warnings, they tend to go behind these addictions. Why? Addiction is not really a bad thing after all. It saps the strength only when it exceeds the limit. One who learns to control his addiction, can live a more pleasurable life like those without addiction. In one sense, it is like turning your weaknesses into your greatest strength. People with addiction are often said to be hopeless but this is nowhere near true. Even people with serious cases of addictions can enjoy life to the fullest by following a method called ‘controlled addiction’.

For example, most of the delicious treats available on this planet are those filled and dripping with grease. But humanly beings tend to only indulge themselves on these unhealthy but scrumptious foods. They are said to be on the path of disease and self-destruction. I am not saying them to completely avoid this habit but by choosing to taste everything and on small quantities is both fulfilling and healthy.

It is said that liquors like beer and wine can are full of medicinal and health values. But most of the time, we tend to over exploit this precious resource; where instead of bringing us benefits, it becomes a poison. But if you try to restrict your intake to just a glass then it becomes a treasure. You have to linger yourself in the taste of each sip. If you feel and enjoy every sip, then even a single glass will be more than enough to provide considerable pleasure.

In one context, if the addiction is too bad it can be replaced with a good addiction. There can be no examples stated for this, as this ‘thought’ should be thought upon, by every individual for their well- being. ‘Time interval’ is a factor of significance here, any habit should have proper time interval to be repeated. During this interval the urge of drinking liquor or any other habit will be huge. But we should not satisfy this urge through action. Perhaps, you have to ponder over the thought and try to learn to drive yourself in a controlled manner, during the interval.

The main aim is to increase the interval and achieve satisfaction only through thought and not getting involved in action. This is a great training to your mind at physical body. Everything can be achieved through practice and perfection. Similarly addiction can also be controlled through proper practice and training of the mind. According to normal human biology, it is impossible and harmful to eat lot of chillies. But one man (as I came to know) eats about 2kgs of chillies as his daily food. Despite this, he is absolutely healthy. THROUGH PROPER PRACTICE OF MIND ONE CAN EVEN CHANGE THE NATURAL LAWS AND CONVENTIONS. Let me discuss you a small method. When your taste buds long for excessive liquor, keep in mind that you’re a speeding truck without any brakes. Just ponder over this following question whenever the urge is more. Even though if you have a crazy desire to take a brakeless ride in your car, would you actually do that? What will be the consequence?
Getting frightened? This fright should be thought upon whenever the urge of addiction is more. This is really frightening because your own mind and body is out of your control, there by letting yourself being subjected to serious humiliation (I mean everyone calling you a ‘drunkard’) in front of others. But when you are controlled in liquor drinking you can enjoy the rest of the day by cruising through the world.


Therefore addiction is not bad; it only appears bad due to the way you deal with it!

GOODNESS OF READING

Have you ever wondered how to get rid of stress? If you had had come across such a situation, you would have heard many suggestions ranging from professionals to your friends. They might have suggested ‘Reading’ as one of the way. Yes! It’s true! Reading can help you to reduce the stress up to some level. It’s a kind of relaxation where in you go on a cruise ride into a new world, if in case you read a good “travel and lifestyle’ magazine loaded with vibrant pictures, then immediately you feel like that you have also visited that place along with the author. In case you have had your energy drained due to lack of self-confidence, then choose books that keeps your spirit soaring high. I mean to read books which gives you motivation or rather inspirational books. Some great achiever’s biography or auto biography would be apt in such cases. Case studies have proven that ‘reading books’ makes your mind sharp thereby increasing longevity of life. I once read in a magazine which conveyed that a research had been conducted to test: if really reading helps in achieving longevity of life. The results proved that those who read more than 4 hours a week lived much longer than those who don’t read books.
Book reading not only reduces your stress level but also increases your self-confidence where you have become a person who has now gained lots of stuff from the books to supplement your conversation with others. The most IMPORTANT THING IS THE SELECTION OF MATTER FOR READING. This is because when you’re in stress mode and by then, if you tend to read tragic novels or any kind of sad news in a newspaper then definitely your stress levels will increase. In these cases always choose your favorite subject matter for reading. Also, keep in mind that the book should be set in a cheerful tone too.

Reading skill-based books like demonstrating a procedure like how to learn a language or origami or painting or any such of the kind will keep you active and will make your brain creative. These books are suggested for reading rather than drowsy story books. When it comes to ‘creativity’, novels can help too. Usually novels are not presented with pictures. In these cases the reader is allowed to ponder over the setting or so on. This allows the readers to develop their own creative image for the written piece of material. Few people don’t like to read but they will have the desire to read. For such people ‘comic books’ can be of great help. They are funny with lots of pictures on it.  Now a days we don’t have the problem of carrying the books wherever we go. Because pdf books and e-books have come in handy which can be stored in one smartphone even though they are numerous in number. So get in touch with this good habit and start having fun!!

VITAL WATER FOR VITAL HEALTH

                 I read few facts about water and I’m very much delighted in sharing those with your viewers. Also my emphasis on ‘water intake’ is portrayed here, in this article:
                Water is a universal solvent. We come across many syrups and liquid medicines but one such “liquid nature medicine” is “water”. It acts also as a health supplement. It is a liquid medium that contains lots of minerals. Drinking sufficient water gives your skin a shiny look. This proper water intake will also keep you active, throughout the day, by supplying enough oxygen content to your brain. Even when you are not thirsty, you can drink some 2-3 oz. of water.
                We were only in the liquid form, when we were first formed in the womb. We were, nothing but 99% of water at that time. During our birth, our body tends to have about 90% of water content. As we grow up this content lowers to 70% percentage. The lesser the water content in our body the more we are prone to diseases and ageing. “Water is a life source which keeps the mechanism of health lubricated”. The important fact that we all should know is that the input and output of water should be equal. Water is essential for all chemical processes going on in our body. It helps and plays a major role in our circulatory system which results in an enhanced blood circulation. Water is essential for the transport of harmones. Also it collects waste products from all over the body and it sends those waste items to the respective organs for excretion. Even at the cellular level, water is really important like protoplasm cells won’t function properly. Therefore water is significant.
                It is also necessary to drink purified water. Drinking water obtained from various sources will seriously affect your health. Not only water is a life source but also it serves as a source for many bacterial and viral diseases. This is like a treasure hidden amidst the tangles of weeds under the sea.   We should get the treasure by clearing up the mess. So water should be purified for drinking. Now a days it is not a big task when it comes to purifying process. The safe level of water intake is 2-3 litres a day. Also keep in mind that OVER INTAKE CAN TOO BE DANGEROUS. Limit the intake according to the output. There is no doubt that WATER IS AN ELIXIR OF LIFE. This elixir gives best results when it is effectively used.

HEALTHY EATING

What do you eat? Do you eat either to satisfy your desire or to promote your health? Have you ever wondered about which food item is suitable for you? Perhaps people eat in a freelance style, never tending to mind the consequences. It doesn’t mean following diet is ‘not eating’. Following diet has got another meaning which conveys the idea of ‘scheduled balanced diet’. All through your school days you would have learnt about ‘what is a balanced diet?’ and ‘what food items constitute a balanced diet?’ Now leave all those. In this article I will give some healthy tips and will also teach how to eat healthy without hindering your ‘freelance eating’. First of all take a list of all the food items. Don’t browse it out. In a free time prepare a list of your own. It doesn’t mean that you are a foodie, just because you prepare such a long list. Everyone has the desire of eating their favorite food items. Make sure that your list contains the food items which you love the most. ALSO INCLUDE THE FOOD ITEMS WHICH IS OFTEN SUGGESTED TO YOU BY YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS. And don’t leave any sort of beverages too. Now isolate your favorite food items and divide them into two categories as ‘most favorite’ and ‘less favorite’ and check what its components are. And if you find that the latter category is healthier, then start eating it often so as to replace the former category. Now your favorite item is lot more healthier to eat. Then the food items suggested by your family members is really a must and should consider eating it at least once a week. Your most favorite food can be eaten once or twice in a month. There should be sufficient gap between the intakes of junk foods.
         
Normally we need 2000 calories from the intake. In this case, it is healthier to have 15% of protein, 30% of fat and sugar content, and 55% of carbohydrates as our daily day diet.
  • Drink sufficient water- neither more nor less. It is better to limit water intake up to 6-8 oz. with meals.
  • It is best to have fruits in diet. A banana with milk in the morning and some papaya slices after the dinner will enhance good digestion thereby preventing gastric problems.
  • Do not replace snacks with main food.
  • Eat cholesterol free food items. Better use low fat oils or olive oils.
  • The food must always be consumed when it is hot or warm. Avoid eating refrigerated foods mostly.
  • Don’t add sugar to fresh fruit juices.
  • Lessen the habits of drinking coffee and tea. Instead drink butter milk or green tea.
  • Always thoroughly wash the vegetables before cooking. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. All harmful chemicals used in the fields will be washed out.
  • Add protein or pulses varieties to your diet frequently.
  • Don’t add salt when you are drinking vegetable soups.
  • Avoid liquor drinking and smoking habits.
  • Consult a physician and know about the correct weight for your height. Then regulate your diet accordingly.
            Come on, if you don’t take care of yourself then who else is going to do???

FAIRNESS MAYHEM


                The mania of fitness and fairness has become an epidemic nowadays such that it has set a new trend in lifestyle, allowing many enterprises and companies to feature their fairness and fitness products through media. The wide range of cosmetics that are available, competes with one and another in order to outdo each other. In this mad race of competition, the R&D centers for these products come up with solutions that would impose drastic and immediate effects. “Affordable Price” – this term is not at all applicable when it comes to beauty. Beauty-loving people may bargain with a vegetable vendor, but they don’t do this to a cosmetic company. The reason is that they (similar to that of the cosmetic competition) tend to compete with their friends and relatives in order to outdo each other in casting their physique and outlook. I have also read that a famous celebrity spends nearly 70Lakhs per annum for beauty making.
                I came across a fact in a ‘Health’ journal by ‘THE WEEK’ that some skin-care products contain mercury and hence to avoid such harmful products. The article also exhorted not to use products which don’t reveal its ingredients. The serious implications of mercury-based creams are really really harmful, it said. But why do people are so obsessed with cosmetics? When it comes to beauty we always do quote examples of certain ancient characters. But did all these ancient people use cosmetics? It is obviously a “No!” Nature provides us with a wide range of beauty products which we are unaware. We normally don’t tend to use ‘aloe Vera’ straight away from the plant. But if we see a picture of aloevera in a cosmetic cream, immediately we would buy it under the pretext of “using natural products”. But still, it is only a cosmetic which contains some traces of aloe Vera. You can see the cream of milk is readily available in households which has a drastic effect and an effective role to be played in ‘anti- ageing’. The fruit extracts like lime or orange (when used in a limited quantity with dilution) has an effect of bleach and gives a natural glow. Cucumber, tomato, cabbage and papaya has good roles to be played in beauty-making. The problem is that we want immediate results from easy procedures. If anything can be achieved so easily, then why are we still humans?? Each and everything needs time, patience and procedure to cast itself. Immediate effects result only in stereotyped beauty. But on the other hand all of these natural products may take time, but in the end, they are the ones who will be imposing everlasting perpetual beauty. First of all examine what and all the nature has provided to you in this environment. Then, with complete knowledge about it, try to make use of it to the fullest. This is applicable both to fitness as well as fairness.

SAINT MOTHER TERESA’s SERVICE

I had wondered how do people like Mother Teresa had given up their life entirely for the sake of sick and helpless people. Then I searched and read many articles regarding Mother Teresa. I look the great service of Mother Teresa as one form of spiritual way to attain salvation.
                Mother’s family was very virtuous and she was taught about all forms of good thoughts and discipline. Teresa’s father died when she was young. Teresa’s mother worked hard to raise the children. Even though, in such a struggle, Teresa’s mother never missed to teach virtues to her kids. Even at a very young age, Teresa was brought up with a saint’s mentality, as sources say. She had no interest in normal life. She was moved by the ‘poverty’ that prevailed in the world. Europe was under financial crisis during the world wars. Yugoslavia and Albania were the mostly poverty-stricken countries. Teresa decided to toil for the poor to relieve their pain. We all have great faith in Mother Teresa. But she had great and devoted respect to a French nun called ‘Teresa Martin’. Mother Teresa’s name was not actually known by this name. Her true name was ‘Agnes’. She had changed her name as ‘Teresa’ to pay respect to ‘Teresa Martin’. Teresa Martin’s story is also important to say here. This great person had worked day and night and was well-known for her selfless service even in the worst conditions. As a result she got sick severely and died at a young age of 24.
                Though Mother Teresa was born in Macedonia (in 1910) she left home for Ireland at the age of 18. There, she became a nun of the Catholic Church. Later she moved to India and started her career in the slum areas of Calcutta. She served for the poor, the severely sick people and the patients at dead bed. For her service, it was necessary that she had to get herself qualified as a nurse. So she did her proper qualification in nursing in Patna. But mother had worked as a teacher in Darjeeling before she had moved to Calcutta. Mother was also well-versed in Bengali language. To Mother Teresa, her medical service was a part of service to the God. Step by step, slowly Mother’s service gained patronage and many came forward to assist her in this service. Then with the combined forced the charitable trust ‘Missionary of Charities’ was founded.
                Mother Teresa was conferred ‘Sainthood’, this September 4. But I had seen many people telling “she was long remembered as a saint to us, even before a very long time ago”. Yes, that is true, even during her days she was known to be a ‘living legend’. I regret that I hadn’t been born earlier to witness Mother Teresa’s selfless service. “Missionary of Charities” has got lots of branches all over the world. But the Indian Branch is the oldest and foremost, I suppose. Mother Teresa opened her first orphanage in India in 1957 and also extended her service by visiting many other homes throughout the country. Mother’s important principles were ‘pure love and selfless service’. She was looked upon beyond the limits of religion, country and language. Mother Teresa received many awards like she had received “Padma Shri Award” in 1962 and “Ramon Magsaysay Award” in the same year. She also received “Bharat Ratna Award” in 1980 by the Indian Government. “Nobel Peace Prize” was awarded to her in 1979. Once there came a beggar to see Mother. He offered his ‘a day’s alms’ to Mother Teresa as a small amount of donation. But Mother refused. But still the beggar persisted to get the money. It was then, Mother said that she had considered ‘his offering’ as the greatest among all the awards she had received. Such a generous and humble person she was. But to world’s disappointment, this great gem passed away on September 5th in1997. It was really a huge loss to the entire world.

                But now I am extraordinarily delightful, at the moment, about the conferring of “Sainthood” to our Mother. I will continue to pay my homage to Mother Teresa all throughout my life, which is for sure.

QUALITIES: AMBITIOUS NATURE.

               The next quality that should be possessed is an ‘ambitious nature’. According to me ambitious nature is harmless, but SHOULD NOT OBSESS
WITH AMBITION. Most people live aimlessly without any ambition. This is dangerous because you cannot simply row a boat in the vast sea without knowing where your destiny is. Achievements in science and technology did not happen in a short span of life of a single person. Each scientist worked for a particular goal and had died. Their lives and achievements are like separate units in a chain. Had they not worked for their ambition, then the scientific chain would have had lost a unit, letting us pondering over the mysteries of science.
              The primary foe to your ambition is ‘sloth’. Then the secondary enemy is ‘negative thoughts’. Learn to praise yourself even if your mind says that you are ugly. By doing so, you are managing to develop resistance against your negative thoughts. ‘The Sloth’ deters all your talents and may ruin your personality. I won’t say how to get rid of the sloth. But if you want to pursue your goal, then you should run and there is no other way. The projects you finish will live even after your death. That is where you are. You will live through your creations even after your demise.

              Don’t say that, there is no use to achieve because you won’t be there to enjoy it after your death. If great persons had thought in this manner then we may not have seen any signs of civilization. Goals can be anything, even ‘exploring the universe’ can also be your goal. Though it is not practically possible, it is better to have one such goal than being aimless. Goals (or) Ambition must be set during the last stages of teen age. Also there must be this division of long time goals and short time goals. For the former, you should keep reminding yourself then and there. Getting a degree and earning money is a short time goal. But ‘outdoing others in that respective field and taking that field to a new dimension’ is what must be your ambition/ goal by developing an ambitious nature’

QUALITY

                The next quality that I’m going to talk about is ‘obstacle management’. Obstacles are really not ‘resistance’ but they are a pause for you to analyze where you went wrong. Also they are stepping stones to success. These obstacles are your ‘holds’ where you grab it or catch it firmly to come up in your life. Only if you cut the side branches of the tree, the tree would grow faster. In that sense if you witness all the resistance, you can grow up on your life like that tree. If you need to start a business or something, all of your family members and your friends circle may discourage you, but get away from them and do what your mind tells. MAKE SURE THAT YOU DON’T FALL BEFORE THEIR EYES.
                In this management skill, endeavor is really important. More than endeavor ‘an attempt or trying’ is far more significant. Keep one thing in mind, I have heard this advice frequently: A smoothly going work is the one which should be feared upon whereas a work having many distractions in its path, actually means it is perfectly working. Don’t develop jealousy/ sadness on witnessing other’s growth. Because they are like those who go to the top in the staircase without any slip. But if they slip from a great height, they might feel the ultimate pain and agony. But you are the person who fall at every step while walking.   You are experiencing pain then and there and so you may not feel that much agony even if you fall from a great height. This means that you have learnt to live your life. This skill and mind setup is also needed in ‘obstacle management’. Therefore it is better to take a decision boldly to come up in your life. But sure that your decision is thought upon twice before execution. Certain resistances are of no value. It is better not to mind these valueless resistances. But some obstacles might really challenge your will power. In that case, either try to overcome it or try to ignore it by means of escapism.
                So, carefully steer your way that you mostly avoid these obstacles.

PIMPLE PROBLEM? READ THIS!


Today, not only ladies even gents tend to struggle with pimple problems. All the beauty is lost due these pimples which appear due to increased ‘oil and dirt mixture’ accumulation over the skin surface. Though they are alarming issues there are simple solutions. Let’s look into the remedies.
Tomato contains high levels of anti-oxidant. This can be of a good cure. Apply the mashed tomatoes, massage it, and leave it for few minutes and then wash your face.
 If you want to get good results over night then it is recommended to use a mixture of water with lime extract. Apply this over your face and in the morning you will see that your pimples would have dried-up, which might fall sometime later. To reduce the concentration of the lime extract, mix it with either oil or butter. But do not apply lime extract without diluting it.

A smash of poppy seeds with milk proves to be an even more effective remedy. You can witness results only if you use these regularly. Use whatever treatment suits you.

Let me justify these terms. Papaya is considered to be a very nutritious fruit and taking / having it in diet means having a balanced diet. But ‘Papaya’ is the king to all these because it enhances the digestion with the help of ‘papsin’ which has the property of breaking down even the hard food molecules. From this article onward I’m going to discuss the qualities that either one should possess or that one should discover from inside (when found missing). The latter idea is true, because most people think that they don’t have certain qualities. But this is not so. Every one of us has all the qualities, it only matters how we discover it and bring those qualities to our outlooks.
The first qualities is ‘bravery’. As did Chanakya say, “Destroy all your fears” as soon as they appear. Bring on braveness. Because braveness can be attributed to youthfulness. It doesn’t matter even if you are old, but being brave will give you a youthful attitude and outlook. For youngsters, the fact is obvious. The ground reality at present is that no one wants to be brave. If someone faces a problem in the public, no one is ready to help that concerned person. They fear of getting into a trouble. In that case ‘getting troubles for a good cause’ is happily acceptable. Face the trouble bravely and watch the magic happen. All of your trouble will come to the size of a pebble, which then can be thrown off.
                Evolutionary changes, corporate and commercial life, and so on has led to such a type of pitiable “no-help rendering mentality”. I’m neither exhorting to quarrel nor to be submissive but at least you can maintain “a neutral and constant state of braveness in coming forward to help others in problems that appear publicly”. If happened to witness an accident – one could call an ambulance immediately and within its arrival, could also give first aid to the victim.
                This-is-the-‘braveness’ that I’m insisting and not that ‘braveness’ to fight in a fierce battlefield as a soldiers.

                People are not foolish to tell that they don’t know all this. All of us is a wise person and we know how to behave and what to possess. So, I need not tell more.
